Autumn Day 7 : Walking Alone At Ikebukuro

My sister and cousin went to Disneyland and I have my own itinerary for today. Well, I think I am not so fans about Disneyland, I even wasted the last day ticket to Disney and went to shopping at last Tokyo Trip. 
I left Mahaima Station after settled the lost JR ticket problem and went to Ikebukuro alone. Well, today is a busy for me as my itinerary is quite pack today. First, I have to go to Sunshine City to buy our return Airport bus ticket in advance, we going to catch the Airport bus at Sunshine City Prince Hotel. The airposr bus ticket cost us 3,000 Yen each, have to pay cash as they didn’t accept credit card.
It was very peace and easy to walk alone in Tokyo city. Although I am not familiar with Tokyo, but I could walk around with only map in hand. Of course, I have done some study before lah…Else, chicken heart me would not dare to walk alone in a strange city.
There are many Chirstmas decorations in the shopping centre. I have very strong Chirstmas feeling when walking around there! Too bad, I do not have much time lebak here. In fact, I already spent few hours just to walk around Ikebukuro. Our hotel is located at Ikebukuro also, therefore, I am straight away back to hotel at 5pm. Later, I have to go to Mahaima station and bring back my two baby sisters from Disneyland.

Autumn Day 7 : Lost JR Ticket!

We reached Tokyo station at 8.45am. I have to bring my sister and cousin to Disneyland before 10am, so that they could enjoy Disney fun without wasting time. We already courier the largest luggage to Tokyo Hotel, so now we only carrying a small luggage with 2 day clothes only. So, it is ok to carry the luggage and keep the luggage in Mahaima Station.
Reached Mahaima station and stored all the luggage in storage cabinet just before 9.30am. I teach sister and cousin how to go to Disneyland without leaving the Mahaima station, However, my cousin had lost her JR ticket. She said she kept the ticket in luggage but I found nothing! and the worst were they already left the station and heading to Disneyland. I have no choice to call her but she insisted the ticket was in luggage.
I was so worry I will have to pay a big amount as penalty of lost ticket. But what to do? I couldn’t find the ticket and I am worry if I back to Tokyo Station without ticket will be more troublesome! At last, I went to the exit counter and told them I lost the ticket. Lucky the staff know how to speak English, he asked me where I am from and I told him I am just from Osaka to Tokyo by Shinkansen, Then, he just asked me paid another 210Yen and gave me a new ticket! Oh my…210 Yen was already an extremely small amount if compare to my imagination. I though I would need to pay at least 1000Yen! :p

Autumn Day 7 : Shinkansen To Tokyo

Woke up in the early morning because we have to rush train and go to Tokyo today. We already checked out at yesterday night because the hostel staff wouldn’t be around until 7am. We have to leave the hostel at 6.30am, therefore, we decided to check out early at yesterday night. Before we sleep, we just passed back the room key to the receptionist and get the refund of 1,000 Yen deposit.
As what we planned, woke up at 5.30am and get everything ready to Osaka Station at 6.30am. It was already 6.45am when we reached Osaka Station. Bought the Shinkasen ticket at the counter and still have another 15 mins to go. I could not feel the different speed of Shinkasen and other Train actually. I was imagine that I could heard the “foo-foo” wind sound and the bullet train was really move like bullet, but I felt nothing at all..:lol:
Anyway, The bullet train took us 2 and half hours to reach Tokyo only. Sure it is super fast if compare to bus! 7 hours vs 3 hours, we saved few hours but paid few thousand yen more for the fare.
Bullet train’s speed like aeroplane, seat also look like aeroplan. We have a good short sleep there.

Autumn Day 6 : Late Dinner at Shinsaibashi (心斎橋)

We decided to go Shinsaibashi after courier the luggage. It was already 8pm but we still have not take dinner yet. We take sub-way train to Shinsaibashi which only took 10 mins like that. There are quite many shops but we no heart to shop this time. So, we walk around and trying to look for a restaurant to settle our late dinner.
I got attracted by some unagi rice (鳗鱼饭) picture, then no fear to go up the second floor restaurant. That is a 酒居屋 i think. They serves many wines, of course with food also. I was so worry I step into a wrong restaurant after saw the environment there. But we 3 pretending nothing happen and request for menu.
Anyway, they serves dinner too. So we ordered 2 Unagi set which come with tauhu and miso soup. It was very funny when we are trying to teasing the waiter (opps..not sure is waiter or waitress actually) and request him to recommend some wine for us. We ordered two types of Sake that day. The waiter even free 1 more miso soup for us because we are sharing 2 unagi set which only have 2 miso soups.
Wow..the wine is damn hot! I am feeling very hot after finished the wine! I think the temperature was about 10°c - 12°c at that night, but I am feeling hot without wearing jacket! I am sweating! I can see my face had become quite red after left the restaurant.
Tonight is the best sleepig night, straight away fall in sleep after lying down in hotel.

MAS Grab-A Deal 50% Off Fare Offer

Received an email from MAS this morning. They are having 50% off offer starting from 08.06.2009 - 14.06.2009 for travel period 11.06.2009 - 31.03.2010. I checked few destination and found that it is very cheap! Too bad, the offer come too late as I already booked ticket at AirAsia. If not, I am sure will go for them. Although price is a bit more expensive than AirAsia, but the different is not much. It is worth to pay for the entertainment, food, heavier baggage weight, larger space and comfortable seat.
