FireFlyz – Malaysia First Community Airline

I just visited xilly’s blog and found the new air-flight website named FireFlyz. Fireflyz is Malaysia’s first community airline, offering affordable flights from Penang to Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantaun, Langkawi, Koh Samui in Thailand. The flight fare are pretty cheap , start from RM9.99 only! Too bad the didn’t fly to and from Kuala Lumpur, Else, I will be their often customer. I’m sure will fly to Penang to meet my hubby often if having such a cheap air flight ticket available. :p The booking system is kind of look alike with airasia. Seem like they are using the same booking system.

I had my first Firefly flight from Penang to Subang 2 days ago. The plane was hot,stuffy and smelly when I got into it. The air conditional is not on and they only allowed outside air to blow in. All of us are sweating while waiting for the plane to depart. The hand luggage compartment is small, the seats are narrow and windows are dirty. They are trying to mimic Airasia but its just not good enough. The food they sell is just general tit bits (no hot food) and the menu was poorly designed (like the menu from typical mamak store). I just can’t believe a five star MAS would allowed this kind of airline to run its business. If it wasn’t for the location (subang airport is near my house), AirAsia will beat Firefly hands down.

Oh my! Is it that terrible? I have an almost same experience with Berjaya Air Line to Redang. I though that was the bad one already, could not believe that Firefly would be the same like that.

aiyoyo, as long as we , consumer beneficial and enjoy the flying experince with lower fares, why not..who cares ….and Firefly from Subang now, so happy coz near to my house…rather than go to Sepang ..that’s time consuming la..

I’m a Firefly frequent flyer. I’m extremely satisfied with Firefly services. I’ve pay low fare but I get 5 star services in return. Well done Firefly!. Firefly not only fly from Penang, now they are flying from Subang to Penang, Kota Bharu and Terengganu. Arr.. I’m doubt some comment that Firefly allow outside air to blow in. I don’t have the “sweating” experience with Firefly. As what I know, since we cant open the aircraft window, how the outside air can blow in?. Anyway, now Firefly is having a free ticket promotion for all their seats. I’ve grab some of the seats. . I would say that you will not regret to give Firefly a try. It’s worth it.
