Tokyo Day 5 : Kichijoji 吉祥寺

Today we had planned to visit Kichijoji in the morning and Mitaka in the afternoon. We left the hotel with stroller and backpack after settled the huge luggage for courier. Took train from Ikebukuro to Shinjuku and then stop at Kichijoji Station (吉祥寺). We first walk in the Kichijoji Station because I want to buy T-shirt at Uniqlo. I check their website yesterday and it show there is one shop in the Kichijoji Station. We found the shop finally and bought 3 T-shirt for Fatty, 2 for myself and one sets of dresses for SQ & Kiki respectively. Cost at 790 to 1500 yen each. All of us have no more clothing to change already. We are not able to find washing machine around the hotel. I Kena tipu by CP! She said we can wash cloth in Japan, so no need to bring so many. Knows who….:(

It was raining when we reach Kichijoji, lucky was not raining dogs and cats, if not we can back to the hotel liao..:lol: I have no idea where I am when I step out of Kichijoji Station. I totally lost idea where should I go. Quite blur actually. Lucky I printed the Kichijoji map, I show to one of the Japanese young guy and ask where the Isetan is. In fact, I want to go吉祥寺 ハーモニカ横丁 but I do not know how to speak the name in Japanese so just simply pointed at the Isetan building. :lol:

That guy is very nice. He not only shows me how to go there, he even asked me to follow him and bring us there! So lucky ler..He was trying to chat with me, but too bad I only know how to ask “Isetan doko desu kah?” (Where is Isetan please?) Other wakarimasen (Don’t know). :lol:

I know I have reached the 吉祥寺 ハーモニカ横丁 once I saw the street! So I stopped that guy and ask him if there is the 吉祥寺 ハーモニカ横丁 (sure use body language lor..He said yes then I just said domo arigato lor..I want to go there..Moreover, he leaves immediately after I said thank you. Wahsey..Japanese really hurry ahh..

We have pretty much of time to spend in Kichijoji. However, I am quite worry because Kiki is fever after reached Kichijoji. She was ok in the morning and don’t know what happen suddenly become very silent and willing to sleep in the stroller. The first thing I bought at Kichijoji was the child cooling pad at drug shop! I got to stick it on Kiki forehead first, hope she will getting better later. I even bought a cooling sleeping pillow for Kiki and hope her willing to sleep on it tonight lor..Lucky we are hand carry the fever medicine in backpack, if not sure having problem tonight.

The 吉祥寺 ハーモニカ横丁 is fully covered with roof, so I do not worry about the raining. We bought two fake crocks shoes at 990 Yen each for SQ & Kiki at Kichijoji. I do not bring slipper for SQ and Kiki from home; I thought they should have no problem to wear boot shoes at Japan. Wahsey, you will never believe that children also have “hongkong foot”! Their foot really smelly like hell after wearing the boot for whole day! I notice the smell few days ago liao, but never know it was came from their foot! Even Kiki herself also said very smelly after take off the shoes..:lol: so no choice lor..better buy them new slipper else all carry "hongkong foot" back to Malaysia.

We have lunch at the しっかりごはん 牛角食堂, the beef is yummy but not as nice as the one we have at Hakone. This was the only day Kiki act like little cat in Tokyo, she is sleeping most of time when we are in Kichijoji. Anyway, we just walk around the吉祥寺 ハーモニカ横丁 and leave there at 2.30pm.
