Tokyo Day 8 : Crazy Shopping At Ameko Crackers Shop 二木の果子

It was still raining dog and cat after the boring instant breakfast. Anyway, it does not stop us me to go out and shop. We took bus from Myspa Maihama hotel at around 10am to Maihama Station. Take JR train again and stop at a small station then change train to Ueno. We purposely avoid changing train at Tokyo Station, already fearing to walk such far from subway platform to JR platform. There are many way to reach a destination in Tokyo, if possible you had better avoid those big stations.
It took us about 45 mins to arrive Ueno. It still was raining outside but no heavy. We were thinking to go Ikebukuro after saw it still raining, but cancelled it after some discussion, as we do not want to be so hassle again. Therefore, we tried our luck and pray hard the rain will stop soon. (Result was rain non-stop until we left Ueno). Fatty bought an umbrella at 550 yen to Kiki and me. Lucky, I am carrying Kiki using baby sling, if not very difficult to share an umbrella. I am too big size to share with other people even just a kid. Haha
Pity Fatty has no umbrella to cover and have to push SQ who slept in stroller some more. He just wear a jacket with cap covered his head. Then followed his crazy wife to shop. We found the Ameko after asked a young couple. It just one minute walk from the Ueno station to Ameko Street (上野阿美橫) We saw much seafood selling in the Ameko streets. It looks like a morning market. We found the famous shop that selling crackers, mochichi (和果子) and sweets -二木の果子. It is hard to bring SQKiki into the shop as the shop are extremely pack. Fatty helped me to take care of them outside the shop and I use speedy skill to search and shop for what I wanted. I finally bought the sweets requested by my cousin and some souvenir to my sister, colleagues and aunty.
While I was worry, do not know where to find the furikake after bought those snacks. Then I suddenly saw there is another branch of the 二木の果子(don’t know what name in English) at opposite only, so I went to there and shop for items in my wishlist. I am so happy to find Furikake and marinated kelp/seaweed there. I had bought quite many in one go. Spent about 10,000 yen in the shop already!
