Tokyo Trip Day 1 : Arrived Tokyo Narita Airport

Weather was good at the day so we have arrived Tokyo 20 minutes early. We arrived at 8pm Tokyo Time which is our 7pm in Malaysia. The first thing I do is adjust my watch time. Make it 1 hour early so that I wouldn’t confuse about the time in Tokyo.

Our Tokyo discover trip was started at 05.06.2006 8pm! After check out and get our luggage, we head to the Suica & N’EX Card counter to buy the Suica Combo card. The value is 1500 Yen for NEX Train to Ikebukuro (池袋) (which cost 3000 yen), 1500 for Suica transport value and 500 deposits. Total 7,000 yen. The man served me in the counter doesn’t very friendly actually. No smiley face and also no friendly face at all. I am quite disappointed to the first dealing with Japanese in Japan. In my mind, all the Japanese should be very friendly and very polite. :p

Anyway, I got 2 Suica Card and get it charged to my Credit Card. I was thinking to add another 2000 value into the Suica Card but can’t. The man served me told me can’t add value in the suica card in the counter directly; we have to add in the machine. Never mind, we will do it later.

After get the Suica Card, we walk to the NEX eki (station) and wait for the NEX 52 train to Ikebukuro at 2143. There was another NEX50 at 20:43 but does not stop at Ikebukuro, so we have to take the NEX 52 which will stop at Ikebukuro. We successful get the train and arrived Ikebukuro at 23:10. We have to do everything slowly because we still not familiar with Japan situation yet. We follow whatever we printed online, stop at every destination to check the exit and way we should go. Lucky, everything goes smooth as all as stated online. We just follow will do. They really listed very detail. And I found that no matter in what Station. You just have to stop and confirm which exit you have to do. (All station have many exit, east, south, west, north & others like A1, A2, 22B) and remember to check all the sign board. They show everything in very detail. But of course you have to know Chinese words lor. :p

We checked carefully the exit when we have arrived Ikebukuro eki (station). And follow the sign board to the exit we want. Once out from the station we already saw the Hotel Suncity. And the time already is 11.20pm.
