Tokyo Trip Day 1 : Sun City – Ikebukuro Hotel
By admin | June 21, 2008
Type A Twins bedroom in Hotel Suncity Ikebukuro (池袋) is very small but the bed is OK. Two single beds that same size with 3 meters each, it become king size bed after combine 2 beds into 1. Although it is still consider small for 2 big size adults and 2 children (2 and 4 years old) for us. Anyway, I am ok because I already used to be sandwich when sleep with SQ & Kiki. We just eat food that not able to finish in flight as dinner in room without go out. I think we are too tired; all of us sleep right after settle all.

hi there,
chanced upon your blog.. am thinking of staying at this hotel @ ikebukuro(Sun city)… how far is it from the stn? I am worried that with luggage bags the walking distance will b very far… Are the rooms well kept and clean? WHat’s the surrounding area like? Thanks for answering my questions.

Hi Jaye,
The hotel is very close to Ikebukuro Station. You will see it immediately step out from the North Exit, across a road only. Not even 30 second. (But the North 20a exit has no escalators. Anyway, just a short stairs. Just make sure you are exit at North 20a (北口20a出口).
Most of the Japan Hotel Room are very clean and keeping well, no worry. I heard my friend who stayed at Twin B Type are quite noisy because facing the station. You could request them to arrange the room opposite station (more quiet).
surrounding area quite lively, (but many “kok”"kok” also :p) It is ok lah…we also walk around at night with 2 little children, quite safe. East Ikebukuro just few minutes from the hotel (walk through the station) more lively and nice place to walk.
