Tokyo Trip Day 1 : To KLIA Airport
By admin | June 17, 2008
- Double confirm and do last minutes check before you leave home.
- Change all necessary foreign money early and not until last minute.
- Not all the money exchanger have big amount foreign currency in hand.
- Have to reconfirm the money changer to ready the currency in their shop.
I thought I was ready every thing and packed it well. However, I still missed the most important thing. I forgot to bring the Canon IXUS 960 Camera Charger! I only brought the camera without charger! And only remember it half way to KLIA! Stupid me! We could not turn back to get the charger already as we left home at 6am, it take about one hour from Serdang to KLIA. Return to home and back again might need another 1 hour. Therefore can decide not to turn back and try not to take the risk. The Flight takes off at 9.25am, in fact we still have time to return and get the charger because we have done online check in. Anyway, we just didn’t.
I have to tell you another silly thing I done. I only have 20K yen which is equal to RM600 in the airport because I not able to exchange for extra amount! Yeap, I know I was wrong. I exchange Yen at the last minutes and was not able to get down to Sungai Wang for others exchange. So I have no choice to change RM628 to 20K Yen and RM3245 to US1K at Jusco, Taman Maluri for spare use due to Japan not accept RM.
Then we change another RM3150 for 100K Yen in Airport, of course the rate is abit expensive as it was selling at 100 Yen : RM3.15 and the rate I got at Jusco is 100 Yen : RM 3.11.
Arrived KLIA at 7.15am, after check in the luggage and get the boarding pass we still have an hour to spend. We have breakfast at a western restaurant and cost us RM92.00 for 3 set simple breakfasts. Quite regret because breakfast serve in flight just after take off. We had the breakfast at airport at 8.20am and flight at around 10am.
