Autumn Day 4 : Lunch at Kiyomizu Dera (清水寺)

By admin | March 13, 2009

Our main transport for today was only Bus. We get down from 清水道 Bus Stop and walk through the “long long” way to Kiyomizu Dera. It took us 15 – 20 minutes to reach Kiyomizu Dera. We seems like is climbing up to there rather than walk to there.

Lucky, there are quite many shops selling food and decoration on the way to Kiyomizu Dera. So we didn’t feel very tire even keep climbing for 20 minutes.

Below shop owner is very LCLY. I always have my camera in hand. I walk into this shop browsing what they are selling, haven’t think of take photos already warm by the owner CAN’T take photos with that unfriendly face. Sure I quickly walk out that shop lah..Free gift to me I also don’t want to stay in that LCLY shop.

My cousin wasn’t know about it and she took photos outside the shop. Manatahu that LCLY owner used paper fan to her not to take photos. Well, they took the photos liao lor..Anyway, kidn of bad experience expelled by this Japanese shop owner.

Anyway, we forget about the unhappy incident after reach Kiyomizu Dera The time we reached there already is 12.00pm. We decided to have our early lunch at 滝 の家. read from backpacker forum their cold tofu (冰鎮湯豆腐) is very nice.

Ordered a tong of cold tofu, a soba soup and a udon soup. Very basic meal that cost us less than 2,000 Yen. However, the tofu is very soft, smooth and yummy after dig in the sauce. Worth to try.
