Autumn Day 4 : Night Red Leave at Eikando (永觀堂)

By admin | March 20, 2009

Another big mistake I made today. I was planned to visit Eikando (永觀堂) for night red leaves. But……Stupid me went to Nanzenji (南禅寺) instead of Eikando (永觀堂)! :’(

The night we planed to visit night red leaves was not weekend. SO SCARY to walk at night ler (in fact, it was only 6pm!)..We took bus and stop at 南禪寺.永觀堂道. At the beginning, we were following a couple heading to Eikando. Three of us quite scare because there is so dark, so little people. Only that couple and us! Japanese really walk so fast ahh…We almost have to run then only managed to follow them.

Too bad, they were not going to Eikando. *sob* They went into a restaurant half way. We have no choice continue to walk toward although we were quite scared. We reached Nanzenji (南禅寺) finally, went into the place but nothing there. All is closed! Even no light!

We saw the other side that is quite far have lighting actually but I am not sure there is Eikando or not. At last, we didn’t manage to view any night red leaves because of scare we decided to give up there.

Below was photos taken on the way back to bus stop. no real night read leaves, roadside one also better than nothing.
