Autumn08 Day 2 : Soba & Udon in Kyoto Station
By admin | January 7, 2009
First meal we took at Kyoto was in this ramen restaurant located inside Kyoto station. No notice what is the restaurant name but it is quite easy to spot in Kyoto station.

We ordered 2 meals for 3 of us because one of the set meal is come with Udon and Origini. My sister is very light eater, so she does not want to order another set but just share with us. We hurry went into the restaurant after purchase the meal tickets from the vending machine.

All customers are standing to eat inside. I am so happy to have chance to enjoy culture like this, which I did not have chance to try at last trip with children around. There are so many restaurants which limited space as this restaurant, hardly to keep luggage also never say a baby stroller!

Hot Udon and Origini set that cost 550-Yen and my cold Soba that cost 400-Yen. The cold soba is amazingly yummy! Especially serve together with the crispy topping. At first, I do not know about the crispy topping until I peeked other people adding something that restaurant serve like soy sauce on the table. Once tried immediately fall in love with that! I keep adding the crispy topping until finish the soba noodle. ![]()

950-Yen breakfast for 3 persons is consider cheap in Japan I think. Anyway, this was the only breakfast we took in restaurant. We have another more save money breakfast for the continuous days.
