Summer Trip : Could’t Cancel Hotel Booking!

September 02, 2009  (2.30pm – 6.30pm)

Now back to my own journey back to hotel with my father and MeiMei. We took another 30 – 40 minutes back to Lao Jie Station Days Inn Hotel.  My first whole vacation day was travel IN Shenzhen Train only. *sign*

Anyway, is good too back to hotel too because I am also lazy to walk under big hot sun. Besides that, I have to call to Hong Kong to deal with nathan hotel also.

Below is the note I wrote in the hotel after made the call to Nathan Hotel, very unhappy deal with them. You could “feel” my angry in writing. haha

2.00am – on the date of departure to Shenzhen

I only realized that I have not cancel the hotel booking I made at Travel.rakuten.co.jp! That booking required 100% charge of first night if do not show and can only cancel the booking 3 days before! I was 2 hours later to cancel the order!! The cancel button in the rakuten website no longer show and that mean I have force to pay the first day for THREE rooms even no stay there!

I immediately called Nathan Hotel in the middle of night and they asked me to email them the detail and would cancel the room for me. So I sent the email it immediately. I am very worry for the whole day! From home to airport to shenzhen. I also get help from CP and hope that she could help me deal with them while I in flight.

I called Nathan Hotel Hong Kong again in Shenzhen hotel and they said I should go through agent to cancel the booking but problem is I couldn’t! Dealing with rakuten and Nathan Hotel for few times, each side telling the different things! Nathan Hotel I must get agent to cancel for me but rakuten said I have to deal with Hotel directly and they could not help us to cancel! WTF!! waste my time to make international call and deal with them. Both were pushing me here and there and no one willing to take the action to cancel the hotel.

48 hours is gone and they are waiting to charge me. Very disappointed with their so call services.

This has become one of the happening made my trip not enjoyable. … on the firs day only! CP helped me to settle the problem! She managed to deal with them on the day she checked in hotel. Thanks you so much! **MUAKKK**
