Summer Trip : Expensive Dinner at Yong Kee Restaurant (鏞記酒家)
By admin | January 22, 2010
September 06, 2007 (7.00pm – 8.30pm)
We reached Yong Kee Restaurant (鏞記酒家) about 6.45pm. Met with CP at ground floor and she already started to enjoy her fried rice and roast goose already. We go up to 1st floor after get the number from CP. I have to say that I am not going to visit them again.
First, They told me only one table available for us and CANNOT be change before I saw the table they assigned to us at first floor. (They already know they gave us the bullshit space for dinner)
Second, they assigned a table for us (6 Adults and 3 children) at 2nd floor which I suspect it just a temporary table and seat. As the table is at the entrance. You would saw their reception counter once step out from lift, right hand side is all the table and seat but our table is at left hand side beside stair. Everyone who up and down using stair would go thru us. And that place is damn hot! No air cond at all.
My parent is hungry and I do not want to be hassle to look for other restaurant so we just settled with their arrangement. The captain and waitress are not bad as they do serve us with smile, except 1st floor receptionist. Below were what we ordered.

Disappointed Roast Goose and Char Siu. I purposely went there to taste these two dishes but disappointed. Nothing special then roast goose that we had at other restaurant but with extremely expensive price.
Oh ya… the only great dish that you must try is their century egg. We finished all before I take out my camera! haha.. Half piece of Century egg served in restaurant is cost at HKD8.00 per person. I would recommend you to take away their package which is 6 century eggs + ginger is only HKD60.00. Much cheaper than served in restaurant. And this might be the only dish that I want to eat in their restaurant.

Other dishes is not bad actually, but the portion is damn small! Dish portion is for 2 – 3 person only. Even their rice also super small bowl, my father had 3 bowls rice but still not yet full! This dinner cost us over HKD1000.00. Big not worth to dinner there.
