Summer Trip : Madame Tussaud Wax Museum

By admin | January 15, 2010

September 06, 2007  (4.30pm – 6.30pm)

Rest about 1 hour plus in hotel, is time to departure for next destination again. We heading to Madame Tussaud Wax Museum located at The Peak (太平山). We took Mtr and stopped at Hong Kong Station, then take taxi to Wax Museum. Taxi fees was about HKD15 – HKD25 only. (Another bad Taxi story to share at next post).

We used the tickets bought at ShenZhen for the cable car without queue to buy ticket at the cable car counter. This does saved time for us, the queue at counter was long enough to spend at least 30 mins there. Queue to enter cable car was not short too. However, we managed get the second round cable car. It’s about 15 minutes to reach The Peak.

We went to the museum counter to exchange tickets and queue to go in museum at about 5.00pm. First wax star I saw was Obama. Many other singers and actors wax figure there too. But..I don’t think those figure look real or look alike with real people. I think 80% of the figure do not look alike them. Especially Anita Mui. Even my mother who is her fan also could not recognize her. :p

The only photo I took with wax figure is with the handsome guy, Brad pitt! haha.. look a like or not does not matter anymore as I could not leave the museum without a photo. ..I just checked thei website again, they said Johnny Depp (wax figure of course) is there too! But why I didn’t see it???

The museum is small I think. We done everything included take photo with most of the figures in 1 and half hour time. It was only 6.15pm when we completed visit whole museum. Since there are not much thing to see in the peak, we just decided to take dinner at Yong Kee early. I smsed CP at the peak due to bore. and surprise to know that she is in Yong Kee too. So I just get her to make reservation for me because I am worry no seat when we arrived (Heard too many online that they are always pack).
